The American Legion Riders (ALR) are NOT a motorcycle club (MC). And therefore, the program is not run and governed like a MC. If you are looking for a motorcycle club or group to ride with that enjoys stopping at bars, then this is not for you. We promote a family friendly environment for the whole family. All ALR Post Chapters in the state of Tennessee only has one constitution and by-laws. New members are not voted in, there are no club prerequisites to be a member. All members must first be a member of the Legion, Sons, or Auxiliary.
The American Legion Riders ARE a program of the American Legion. It’s objectives are to promote motorcycle safety, while providing a social atmosphere for members of the American Legion family who share interests in serving veterans, their communities and motorcycling.
Purpose The ALR is formed to promote the aims and purpose of The American Legion as a family oriented motorcycling activity for members of The American Legion, The American Legion Auxiliary, and the Sons of The American Legion.
